BLK SCL! SOUND exists to champion dynamic, honest and exceptional Black music and Black voices across the North of the UK, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. We create space for artists to develop, release, and own work with ambition, care, and cultural integrity.

We are a curator-led label, partnering with artists to shape projects that matter — prioritising long-term growth, audience connection, and the full value of recorded works over short-term gains. We believe in collaboration, fair opportunity, and sustainable careers.

The recorded music sector is where the most robust commercial data exists — and it shows music rooted in Black genres drives the majority of UK recorded value. BLK SCL! SOUND is built to ensure Black talent outside London can participate in that value through ownership, revenue participation, and long-term catalogue building.

Through strategic partnerships, including EMI North (Universal Music Group), we will connect independent vision with major-label insights and support — without compromising purpose or identity.
