MACE THE GREAT

A HEADLINE WAITING TO HAPPEN.

Cardiff-born grime and hip-hop artist — the leading voice in a new wave of Black music coming out of Wales.

Mace The Great

Mace The Great is a Cardiff-born grime/hip-hop artist widely regarded as the leading voice in a new wave of Black music coming out of Wales. With a growing national profile and deep community roots, he’s helping shift how Welsh rap is heard — not as a regional outlier, but as a vital part of the UK’s next chapter.

Co-signed by tastemakers and institutions alike (BBC Radio 1Xtra, Wonderland, NME and more), Mace has steadily expanded his audience while keeping the music anchored in place, perspective and purpose. Press have called him “cold, back to basics grime in its purest form” (Clout Magazine) and “well and truly putting Cardiff rap on the map” (HYPE Magazine), with Mixtape Madness highlighting his “unmistakable flow” and momentum.

His catalogue traces the rise: SplottWorld (2023), followed by key singles including “Welcome To Wales” ft. Sage Todz, “3am In Montreal,” “Reason To,” and breakout track “PTC” (2024). In November 2025 he released Show Stoppaz — a 12-track mixtape that marked his most ambitious statement to date. Live, Mace has built a reputation for high-impact sets across SXSW London, New Skool Rules and Glastonbury, alongside cultural moments with Mak10 and DJ AG and appearances on Red Bull Music and Toddla T’s Steeze Factory. With new music produced by Sir Spyro, Mace The Great isn’t just pushing his own lane forward — he’s helping define where grime goes next.
