BLK SCL! SOUND: First Release

On June 26th, we're releasing KOJ – “PUNK PANTHER” and it's important because it sounds like now. It sounds like the gritty North… sounds real.

We really believe that KOJ is an important voice right now because he doesn't perform struggle, he speaks from inside it. He's Liverpool through and through, but the message travels: race, class, power – the stuff so many dance around – said plain, with heart, with honesty, with purpose. That's rare. And that's exactly why this feels right as our first single on BLK SCL! Sound. We are all about building infrastructure for Black people working in music in the North of England and the devolved nations that's bold and uncompromising. “PUNK PANTHER” is that in record form.
